David Moyes Clueless After Manchester United Defeat Arsenal,Manchester City,Welbeck David Moyes Clueless After Manchester United Defeat Manchester United manager David Moyes has admitted that he has no idea what more the Red Devils could have done to emerge victorious against Stoke City, after watching his side slip to a shock 2-1 defeat at the Britannia Stadium.
Stoke took the lead early on in a match played in difficult, blustery conditions, although United were level two minutes into the second half courtesy of a strike from Robin van Persie.
That parity proved to be fruitless though for United, as Charlie Adam completed his brace with a wonderful late strike to condemn the defending Premier League champions to their eighth loss of a difficult campaign.
Moyes insisted immediately after the disappointing defeat that they were "extremely unlucky" to end up on the losing side, ruing missed chances when the game was finely poised at 1-1.
He is quoted by NBC Sports as revealing in his post-match interview: "I don't know what we have to do to win. "I thought we were extremely unlucky. We played well in difficult conditions but we have lost to one wicked deflection and one worldy. "But we should have been out of sight with the amount of opportunities we had today and we only have ourselves to blame."
United are still six points off Liverpool in the fourth and final Champions League qualifying spot, although Brendan Rodgers' side have a game in-hand against West Bromwich Albion tomorrow afternoon.
