Chelsea midfielder Kevin de Bruyne's agent has flown out to Wolfsburg's winter training camp in a bid to help force through a move which the Blues value at a whopping £25m, according to the Evening Standard.

De Bruyne has been consistently linked with a return to the Bundesliga after failing to feature in Jose Mourinho's first-team plans on a regular basis this season, making his last Premier League appearance for the Blues back in September.

The Belgian international wants out and is believed to prefer a permanent move, although the chances of that happening in January have been largely quashed by Chelsea's reported asking price of £25m.

Wolfsburg are leading the race to land De Bruyne on loan and with that in mind De Bruyne's representative Patrick de Koster has travelled to Doha for a meeting with Wolfsburg sporting director Klaus Allofs, according to the Evening Standard.

Allofs has a good relationship with De Bruyne and De Koster after working with the pair at Werder Bremen, where the 22-year-old was widely heralded as a huge success on loan last season.

De Bruyne was not included in Chelsea's squad for yesterday's FA Cup victory over Derby County to fuel exit talk, although Blues boss Jose Mourinho has insisted that his absence was due to injury.
